The main building material is stone set in lime mortar. Originally the rampart wall comprised a series of wooden logs surmounting a low height wall. Today no traces of the wooden logs are left. Internally all the towers which are constructed of locally available slate and lime mortar, have been tampered with. The tops of each bastion are conical in shape and presently covered with CGI roof. Locals, however, have differing opinions on this some say it had slate roof, while others believe I had wooden shingles. |
