This is a large and unique building containing Agraharam, Maratha and Colonial features. The typical Agraharam components such as the tinnai, reli, koodam and mittam are seen. The Maratha influence is indicated by the squat cylindrical pillars between round arches. The tinnai and the reli are vault-roofed. The koodam is basically tile-roofed but one wing of the koodam hasthe Madras terrace type roof. A row of cylindrical wooden pillars with bracket figurines are found between the koodam and the mittam. |
