| Brief History / संक्षिप्त इतिहास | The foundation stone for the pavilion was laid by Mrs. B.G. Holdsworth on 23rd December, 1933. The pavilion was declared open by Sir Alexander Tottenham, Administrator, Pudukkottai state, on 30th November, 1934. The building houses a bronze statue of Kumarappa, a cricketer friend of the Raja of Pudukkottai. |

The structure is brick built and is plastered in the interior. The building consists of a couple of rooms preceded by a long flight of steps which in turn is preceded by ground. The roof above the steps is made of tiles while the rooms in the interior have a flat, concrete ceiling. |
