This is a large tank in the shape of an irregular polygan, a part of which has in recent years, been encroached and built upon. As per the original plan, most of the public roads and streets of Pudukkottai town are erected such a way that during the rainfall, the water flow towards this tank. the tank is enclosed by mud bunding from all sides. There are no steps around the tank. The four stone outlet channels drain out the surplus water to the river Kundaru. |
