| Brief History / संक्षिप्त इतिहास | HMDP, the oldest public institution in Vadakekara Panchayath, established in 1882. The present structure was built in 1905 as the office of the sabha. The sabha in 1887 led on agitation against the princely state for the rights of forners. It also led struggle against caste system untouchability. Sabha in 1887 started the first school in the panchayath. |
