The context of artefacts is on the surface of an extensive spread of cobble to boulder sized ferruginous gravel derived from and constituting the Satyavedu Formation. Middle Palaeolithic artefacts are noted are noted here on the surface. These gravels are an extensive source of raw material which would have been exposed and available during the Pleistocene. The site is dissected by a gully. The gravels are covered by fine sands. |
