The stratigraphic sequence comrpises a 10-20 cm thick ferricrete gravel occassionally indurated to form duricrust. This rests on a 2-5 m thick Cenozoic laterite profile developing on shales. The site has Acheulian artefacts with the ferricrete gravels, which form the artefact horizon. Microlithic to Late Palaeolithic occassionally are noted on the surface of the gravels. |
