The stratigraphic sequence comprises around 1 m of compact reddish-brown sands 10 YR 7 4 and 10 R6 6 , disconformably overlying the ferricrete gravel and which are archaeologically sterile and heavily eroded. The artefact horizon comprises an indurated ferricrete gravel lag, with occassional clasts. This overlies a Cenozoic laterite. The site has been largely destroyed by quarrying |
