| Topographical Description / स्थलाकृतिक विवरण | The topography of the Ludhiana District is typical representative of an Alluvial plain; it owes its origin to the aggravation work of the Sutlej River. The alluvium deposited by the river has been worked over by the wind, which gave rise to a number of small dunes & sand mounds. |
| History / इतिहास | |
| Brief History / संक्षिप्त इतिहास | In 1705, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and a few Sikhs arrived here after travelling from Chamkaur Sahib, Machhiwara, Lall Kalan, Rampur, Kanech and Alamgir. There was dense forest around Doleh in those days. Guru Gobind Singh tied his horse with a Flahi tree at this site, hence the name of the Gurdwara, and stayed here for 1 night. The Flahi tree still stands today. |
