| Brief History / संक्षिप्त इतिहास | By AD 1890, With Colonel W.R.M Holroyd as President, and Mr. Wim Bell as secretary, Khalsa College establishment Committee was Formed at Amritsar as an outcome of resolution for instituting Khalsa College by the Singh Sabha. The Ruling Sikh chiefs and doyens of Punjab were approached to mobilise resource and land for this noble cause. |

Sir James Broadwood Lyall laid the foundation stone of the institute on March 5th. 1892 and later a Grudwara was constructed at this site. on April 14th 1892, the khalsa College Establishment Commitee was Replased by the Khalsa College Governng Council with Dr William H. Rattigan, The then Chief Justice of Punjab, as its President. |
