Patiala State was a self-governing princely state of the British Empire in India, and one of the Phulkian States, that acceded to the Union of India upon Indian independence and partition.The office of Maharaja became hereditary among the descendants of Ala Singh until Phul, the Sikh ancestor of the dynasty, which came to rule over Patiala, Jind, and Nabha. |

It is a small cupola like structure. It is supported with four pillars which holds the brackets and slanting cornice. The lintel is flat and square having a round ribbed dome with lotus pattern and a finial on top. The center of the cupola has a small shivalinga. |
