| Topographical Description / स्थलाकृतिक विवरण | Patiala district forms a part of the Indo-Gangetic plain. It is composed of the materials deposited by rivers during recent geological past. Its land surface slopes in the north-east-south-east direction with a gentle gradient of about 0.8 meter per kilometre. The whole area of the Patiala district is covered by Indo-Gangetic alluvium. The structure lies in the semi urban setup of the city. |

It is a single storeyed structure built on a rectangular plan. The main building is built on a high raised platform and is approached by a flight of stepped staircase. There are two bastions like structures in the front. The staircase leads to a big courtyard with rooms surrounding. On the extreme ends, there are flights of stairs leading to the terrace. The structure has a flat roof. |
