Brief History / संक्षिप्त इतिहास It is building of Patiala railway station is perpendicular to the rail line from Rajpura. It is said that Maharajah built the railway station in the perpendicular orientation as he had hoped that one day the Ambala-Ludhiana would be diverted via Patiala, but that never happened. One reason was the trains would have to pay the taxes levied by the PEPSU state.

इमारत/संरचना/स्थल का विवरण 		It is a single story structure built on a rectangular ground plan and has entrance on the front and sides. The fa ade of the building has and arched entrance with gabled roof. The building also has arched niches equally spaced on the sides of wall.
