| Brief History / संक्षिप्त इतिहास | A marvelous structure of erstwhile Princely State of Patiala was built by Maharani Aas Kaur, wife of erstwhile Princely State of Patiala ruler, Maharaja Sahib Singh, to provide resting place for the tired travelers, in the late 18th century. She got a sarai constructed at the main entrance to the then princely state of Patiala. She built the building for the comfort of the visitors. |

It is a triple story building built on a rectangular ground plan. The entrance has a multi foliated arch and an arcaded opening with wooden door. The ground floor has multi foliated arched niches on the left and right. The first floor has projected balcony with dome and arch opening. The second floor has again multi foliated niches and arched window openings. The rooftop is flat and is covered by cornice on all the sides. |
