The significant heritage bridge is a railway bridge built during Colonial period. The actual design and construction was supervised by the team of Edwin Lutyens during the construction of Imperial city of New Delhi. The superstructure and substructure of the bridge still retain the historic fabric, although many structural repairs have been done during the years. The brickwork large segmental arch is the special feature of the substructure of the bridge and it spans the width on the road.The historic bridge of colonial era is one of the landmark and significant built heritage of Delhi. |
