The impressive two-storeyed building is entered through a typical large gateway made of Lakhori brick. There is a semi-circular arch on the front facade and four-bays pointed openings inside. On entering the gateway the facade of the building on both the sides continues to maintain the character of the street and is important, though in itself the plan of the building is very barrack-like with rooms opening on the street and on to the balcony on the first floor. The gateway leads to a large open central court and rooms around it. The stone brackets and projecting balcony are important features. The building to the right is used as shops, but it has projecting chajja supported on stone brackets. |
