| Description of Building/ Structure/Site
इमारत/संरचना/स्थल का विवरण |
The impressive and old Jain Temple has an elaborately carved gateway. The original gateway is built of sandstone. The gateway leads to a corridor which leads to a large central hall which has been modified by adding two columns. The original columns and cusped arches around the hall have been painted with modern enamel paint. The ornamentation over the facade of the temple is exquisitely carved. The characteristic features are ornate pilasters which have ornate base, multi-cusped arched entrance and niches, mouldings, floral patterns all over the spandrels and over rectangular band around the arches. The carving is done in low relief. The temple is a double-storey structure. The upper storey has a projected balcony which is supported by the stone brackets. The main shrine is on the first floor. The interior of the temple is equally beautiful by various religious scenes on walls and ceilings. |
