| Brief History / संक्षिप्त इतिहास | The magnificent bunglow of Raja Jai Singh of Amber is converted into the Gurudwara in 1664.It was renovated in the year 1783 C.E. under the supervision of Sardar Baghel Singh Dhaliwal. The small tank over the sacred well was constructed by Raja Jai Singh I of Amber. |

It is said that the eighth Guru of Sikhs, Guru Har Kishan Sahibji, popularly known as Bal Guru, stayed here for the short duration, in the Palace as a royal guest of Raja Jai Singh I of Amber in the year 1664.It is said that during that time, Bal Guru served and healed many people, who were suffering due to terrible epidemic of Cholera and Small pox. |

The magnificent and one of the most prominent Sikh Gurudwara is associated with the eighth Guru of Sikhs,Guru Har kishan Sahibji,popularly known as Bal Guru.The complex of Gurudwara Bangla Sahib includes main shrine,a large holy pond,a kitchen,a school,a hospital and a huge art gallery and some other subsidiary structures.The main shrine looks grand and beautiful with a perfect combination of white marble building and golden dome.There is a grand ornate arched gateway surmounted by five domed Chhatris. This gateway leads to the grand courtyard of the Gurudwara complex.The main shrine is a huge and gorgeous structure of marble and surmounted by three bulbous, ribbed gold-plated domes.Other prominent architectural elements include multi-cusped arched windows, jharokhas,oblong pavilions,bulbous -domed chambers near the entrance,chhatris and others. The decorative elements are spellbinding and include diverse motifs such as floral,religious and Sikh symbolism, intricately carved and embossed.The magnificent structure is a mesmerizing architectural heritage. |

The facade of the building is made up of white marble. The main structure is made up of white marble, bricks and stone with cement plastering. The floors are made up of white marble. The entire structure is white washed and the domes are painted with golden paint. |
