The facade of the huge gateway of old Temple of Smt. Angoori Devi, is grand. It has central pointed arched gateway, which is superimposed by an impressive multi-cusped arched frame. The platforms are on the either side of the gateway has multi-cusped arched pavilion. The pilasters and pillars support the arch of the pavilion, and there are small arched niches inside it. The unpretentious brackets support the chajja. The collapsible grill is a later addition .This grand gateway leads to the temple complex which consists of Mughal styled dalan and the main shrine, which is considered very old and sacred by the locals and devotees. |
