This was the main gateway of Najafgarh fort which was built up by Mirza Najaf Khan during the reign of Shah Alam II.

The monumental gateway is double storeyed with two pointed arch gates. The double storeyed dalans extend on both sides. The facade of the gateway is very impressive. The huge pointed arch gateway is framed by multi-cusped arch design. The parapet is adorned with Kangoora patterns. The gateway has vaulted ceiling. It has been partially renovated with a new name vaid Kishan Lal Duar. This Najafgarh fort had four gates in the four cardinal directions but now only the gateway remains.

The basement wall of the facade is made up of lakhori bricks and is paved with marble.There is use of modern bricks in the arches and the parapet wall. The lintel is made up of red sandstone.
