The mosque is said to have been built by Farrukhsiyar. This Late Mughal mosque within the Dargah complex of Roshan Chiragh Delhi underlines the fact that the site has been continuously venerated over the centuries.

The monumental mosque is built of random rubble masonry plastered and measures approx. 10.85 m by 3.25 m except lately extended pillared verandah. It consists of three bays each entered through a cusped arched opening. The central bay originally was crowned by a fluted bulbous dome topped by a stone finial which is now vaulted, while the side s ones have flat roofs. The mosque has now been extended by adding a concrete ceiling along with its southern, northern and eastern facade..
