Located on a mound on the left bank of river Mahanadi. The temple is three chambered raised on a high plinth. The temple is about 40 feet high . The vimana is of pancharatha rekha order, while the jagamohana and bhogamandapa are of pidha order. The vimana shows the influnce of Central Indian architecture. the temple has been provided with a boundary wall. Navagraha sculptures are found on the doorjambs of the jagamohana along with two sivite dvarapalas. The presiding deity is a Sivalingam. The side deities are Ganesa, Kartikeya Parvati. |
