| Brief History / संक्षिप्त इतिहास | This is a well-preserved specimen of early 20th century civil architecture. The bridge was erected by the Public Works Department during the rule of the Tondaiman Raja. K. Rangasamy, the State Engineer was in charge of the construction. The bridge was opened for traffic by Mrs. Sydney Burn on 27th September 1922. |

This road-bridge has been built across river Vellaru. The structure is supported by a series of stone columns on the river-bed. Along either side of the road-bridge, is a brick built parapet. |
