The town of Reasi is largely an agrarian based economy, drained by the mighty Chenab River, and home to many important historical events. Dominated by the robust Bhimgarh Fort, the town is one of the oldest in the state of Jammu and Kashmir and was the seat of the erstwhile Bhimgarh State, and is said to have been established by Raja Bhim Dev somewhere in the 8th century. The town still has strong reminders of its ancient past in the form of little known temples like Bhimsen Devta. |

The Parade Ground is a large flat and open site, bordered by Eucalyptus trees. The area within the perimeter of the trapezoidal site is about 20576.94sqm about 5 acres The ground is looped by the city road on three sides and one side has taxi stand. |
