The area was one of the most affected ones during the Indian partition of 1947 and was badly destroyed in the earthquake of 2005. The three houses are arranged in such a manner that two face the road and one is located behind them in the middle. All the three houses are single storey with an imposing entrance deodi. There are about four rooms arranged around a central courtyard for each of these houses. A series of windows overlook the street and the linear fa ade thus forms an impressive public front. |

The main building materials include dressed stone which is used on the front fa ade, random stone masonry and timber for doors and windows. The openings are rectangular in shape, slightly recessed and set within segmental arched profiles. |
