It was built by the Maharaja of Patiala in 1936. 1 The Maharaja was inspired to build the temple and bring the six-foot-tall statues of Maa Kali and Paawan Jyot from Bengal to Patiala. It is a single storey structure with multi foliated arched entrance with small dome like structures on the top. One of the shrines in the complex is built on a raised plinth and is approached by a flight of steps. It has a multi foliated arched entrance with projected entrance. The roof has cornices on the fa ade side. Apart from this the main shrine has a tall vimana structure with the main deity installed inside. The srtructure is built on a raised platform and has mini vimanastrcutures on the main vimana structure. |
