| Brief History / संक्षिप्त इतिहास | Rajendra Hospital Patiala was named after the Maharaja Rajendra Singh 1856 1900 of erstwhile state. The foundation was laid down by Maharaja Yadvinder Singh on 15th April 1950. Government Medical College,Patiala was started on 29th September, 1953 at Patiala, the capital of erstwhile Pepsu State, at that time a separate State from Punjab, under the Government Of India President s rule . |

The structure is divided into 2 parts- the front part of the building is triple-storey and the back part is double-storey structure built on a rectangular plan. It has a main hall. The front part has a dome supported on an octagonal cornice. There is a clock situated beneath the dome. The structure has rectangular windows and doors. There are circular openings on the double-storey structure. |
