Middle palaeolithic tools have been collected form a stratified context at Jael in District Nagaur. Tools occur in a Piedmont Gravel at the foot of a low hill range in an otherwise pedimented landscape. tools are made on quartzite and mainly comprise flakes, side scrapers and end scrapers, Occasionally miniature handaxes are also found. The presence of small blades and cores suggests that the site continued to be in use during later times as well. |
