In the Pennar valley abound in the Nellore district of A. P. a large number of archaeological sites have been reported by Manley F. P. 1945 .One such lower palaeolithic location is at Ambayapalem 14 25 N. Latt. 79 57 E. Long. exposed across a lateritic matrix six kilometers away from Nellore on the Kodalakur road.
