Rich Microlith yielding sites were discovered on the stablized surfaces of moderately calcreted yellowish brown dunes. Locally available materials like rhyolite , fine-grained quartzite,quartz, cherty and chalcedony have been used for making tools. On the basis of pedo genesis these dunes do not appear to be very old, probably not earlier than early Holocene . Aeolian activity seems to have continued even during the early Holocene in this part of Rajasthan. |
