Of special significance was the discovery of hand-madepainted black-and-red ware, plain coarse red ware, besides the usual neolithic finished grey ware, ground stone axes and axes and fluted cores and short blades of chert, jasper and crystal. It may be recalled that Bruce foote had also reported the occurrence of a few painted sherds from the site, which are now kept in the reserve collection of the Government Museu, Madras. |
