| Brief History / संक्षिप्त इतिहास | The temple has been attributed to Rani Sultana Devi based on a stone inscription fixed on the wall. Sultana Devi was a queen of Raja Ajbar Sen CE c. 1499-1534 , who founded present day town of Mandi on the left bank of Beas in CE 1520. The foundation of the temple goes back to the 7th-8th century. |

The temple is built in Nagar architecture in shikhar style. It has three functional components, viz., the fronting large square sabha- mandap, a small antaral and the panchrath type square garbh-grih. |
