The artefact horizon comprises a cobbly ferricrete gravel with duricrust, which caps the Cenozoic laterite profile. Artefacts occur in the upper 20 cm of the section. In previous sections studied in a well section in the vicinity Pappu 1996, 2001 , similar profiles were noted in well and quarry sections studied. The site is extensively disturbed by quarrying. Artefacts extend over around 5 km2. |
