| Description / विवरण | Fragment of a pedestal of a Jain Tirathankara. At the centre of the pedestal the image of goddess Indrani is seen seated in lalitasana and one of her hand is in Abhaya mudra. Below her is a depiction of chakra in centre, and two seated animal figures are seen at both sides. At her both side two elephants are seen, of which the half of the body from head of the elephant in right side is broken. At both side of these elephants two mythical animal figures are seen. At the right end Indra is seen seated in lalitasana and his right hand is in Abhaya mudra and left hand holding a vajra or lotus At the extreme left a depiction of mother and childe is seen where mother is sitting in lalitasana and child is sitting on her lap of left side. Below the pedestal, one line inscription is seen at the centre and two lines inscription are seen in other parts written in Sanskrit language. |
