| Description / विवरण | This musical instrument is known as Sarangi. The body is made of wood. The cell is notched at the top, and it is covered with or fixed with skin. It has a rectangular langot The place where the wires are tied . It has a wooden ghodach which is fixed on a leather belt. The dandi is having 24 holes decorated with ivory. At one end it has 10 wooden pegs khuntis are on the top. Beside the wooden Ghodach there are three ivory ghodach are also present on the dandi. There are 4 big knobed pegs are fixed on either side of the dandi in one end. There are 24 khuntis in the central part of the dandi. It has a megaphone made of wood on which metal wires are tied. Metal wires are tied in between the khunti and the langot. It has carved decorated design and decorated ivory pieces and are also fixed on the body. There is one fish on the it. The khuntis are also decorated with ivory. |
