| Description / विवरण | Tanpura much similar to Sitar has a big guard shaped tumba having arched leaf plates decorated over its upper portion. It is fixed with a concave plate tabli over it with a piped wooden coil. The belly is attached to a long handle sand . The belly and handle both are hollow from inside. It has four nobs intact to the upper part of the handle. Two knobs are fixed to the front side while two others are fixed to its two sides. The concave plate has a wooden groove over it for stretching the iron wires so that it does not touch the plate. The groove has cut marks over it for fixing the wires. The bottom portion of the belly has round beads with which three wires are tied. It has three wires still attached. It has floral paintings around the joining areas. |
