| Description / विवरण | Sitar with 3 tumbas one is missing two working as base support, in the shape of a pumpkin. The two tumbas are hollow from inside with raised arched petal shaped decorations over it. The main tumba is attached to a wooden drum over it joint with a wooden pipe. The drum has an ivory stretcher over it for stretching the wires. The handle has arched decorative plate over it. It has 11 wooden knobs at the right side of the handle and two at the upper front side. The strings are tied to an ivory knobs at the bottom of the tumba. Most of its strings are broken and missing. |
