| Description / विवरण | Sitar with three tumba in the shape of a pumpkin. The bigger one is attached to the lower portion of the handle with a Gulu joining plate and there are arched flower petal shaped Khatambandi raised decoration over the Gulu area. The tumbi and handle are hollow. The main tumba has a wooden concave drum tabli over it. There are arched floral raised decoration over the two base tumba also. The handle has 11 wooden knobs at the right side of the handle and two at the front side. It has 13 frets tied to the handle. There is a stretcher at the handle. There is stretcher in ivory over the drum to stretch the strings. There are golden petal decoration all around the joining areas. Its strings are broken and missing. |
