| Description / विवरण | Miniature painting based on Bhagwat Puran depicting story of Dhruv. At the upper right left part kings palace is depicted with king Uthanpad sitting with his wife Suruchi who did not let Dhruv to sit on rap of his father. To its left Dhruv is shown with king s second wife Suniti, Narad asking Dhruv to do penance and below this, Dhruv leaving for forest. To its right, king Uthanpad looking tensed and Narad muni sorting his problem. At the middle Dhruv is shown standing on one leg and doing penance. At the lower right, Devtas are shown standing and looking at Dhruv s penance. At the lower panel, Dhruv is shown taking bath on river. |
