| Description / विवरण | This is a gun with a long barrel and a teakwood stock extending upto the mouth of the gun. Stock is rectangular in section and exhibits flutings and offset at breech end. Butt portion is wornout and has hair line splits. At the base of stock a flat trigger connected to the hammer cock on the top of breech end is provided. The iron barrel measuring 1.35 m is tied to the stock with four iron bands which is fastened with iron twisted nails. The stock exhibits a brownish patina on the surface and the iron parts are rusted. A single line urdu inscription mentioning the name of Nizam of Hyderabad 1762-1803 A.D inscribed on the barrel is noteworthy. |
