| Description / विवरण | This weathered damaged sculpture depicts Ganesha seated on a pedastal in sukhasana. Both the ears,all hands, the long trunk and the pot belly is obliterated. A band around the flat crown adorns the head. Eyes are provided obliquely.He is bedecked with ornaments such as vakshahara of bells and keyura. Faint out line of lower garment is discernible. The flake scars near the extant portions of hand and shoulder indicate that figure had four hands.On stylistic grounds this image may be ascribed to the early - chalukyan period. |
