| Description / विवरण | Figure of Goddess of dawn mariachi stands in an attitude of an archer Pratyalidha-Pada . Her lower part dress is fastened to the waist with a plain girdle Kanchi whereas the upper half of the body is shown with a scarf Uttariya hanging from her two arms. She, has three faces and six arms. The central face is larger than the other two and the left face is of a boar. The uppermost right hand is damagedbut appears to be holding a thunderbolt Vajra . The second hand holds an arrow and the third or lowest has an elephant goad Aukusa . The uppermost left hand is broken probably holding an asoka flower. The next hand is holding a bow whereas the third is held in front of the breast with forefingers raised in menacing attitude Tarjanidhara . The central head is seen with conical headdress bearing dhyanibuddhavairochana in the attitude of expounding the law Vyakhyanamudra . At base seven boars are carved in a row, the central one facing the front whereas the rest running in opposite directions seem to be drawing the car of mariachi Saptasukaratharudham . The female figurine riding on the central boar is evidently the charioteer. The kneeling figures at the bottom are donor and his wife. The remaining part of the base in inscribed with an inscription now obliterated. |
