| Description / विवरण | The moustached figure stands with left knee bent, the weight of the body resting on the right leg. Both the arms are broken and the plain circular halo is damaged. The wavy hair is parted in the center, combed sideways, and tied in a bun on the top. A pearl fillet circles the brow and is looped around the bun. Short locks of hair fluff out at the sides and fall down to the shoulders. In addition to a broad collar and a longer necklace which ends in a pair of tritons holding a pendant amulet case, he wears an upavita threaded with amulets and two more strands one passing over the shoulder and the other through the armpit. The dhoti is secured by a girdle with a lion-face buckle, its two ends terminating in knobs falling stiffly between the legs. The bids of the dhoti over the left leg are wedge-shaped, theme over the right are done in accentuated waves. The upper garment is thrown over and around the left shoulder and covers the trefoil armlet. Sandals are worn on feet and the dado of the pedestal shows six worshipper adoring a turban. |
