| Description / विवरण | The God is shown standing in samabhanga pose. Three of his four arms are broken. The upper left hand held a trisula. He wears a broad necklace, earrings and a tiara above which rises the tall jata. Behind the God is a badly damaged Nandi, next to which stands a male attendant holding a bowl in the right hand. A male figure kneels at Siva's feet, hands folded in adoration. Parvati, also in sambhanga pose, stands to the left of the God. The right hand is broken; she holds a large pot inthe left hand. She wears a dhoti,the regularly pleated folds of which fall between the legs. The simple girdle is provided with two small loops, an ekavali adorns the neck and the hair is done in a large circular bun above the head. The Goddess is flanked by two female attendants and a kneeling figure, now badly damaged, is at her feet. The large oblong haloes are edged by a broad band of foliate petals. |
