| Description / विवरण | The sculpture depicting king Narasimha in discussion in front of a pillared pavilion crowned by a pidha-shaped roof. The king is seated on a couch, supported by legs carved as viralas, with his left leg resting below his right thigh which is pendant below and a cushion placed behind his back. A manuscript is placed over his thighs. He is mutilated above his waist. Facing him are four standing figures. Three have their hands folded in anjali while the fourth folds a ring like object in his right hand, which is in the pose of abhaya. Two female attendants appear behind the king holding chamara. In the bottom register depicted two elephants with three riders. Facing them are two horses with three riders on their sides. The riders are seen as exchanging namaskars, a sitting figure is depicted in between the horses and elephants. |
