| Description / विवरण | Siva as kankala murti or bhikshatana murti. It is a standing image and nude devoid of any drapery. The head has jatas or locks of hair in dishevelled fashion spreading out fan-like on either side. It has four hands. The right rear hand holds the damaru, while the left rear holds the trident. The front right is broken while the front left holds the skull cap. There is lone tight kantamala in single strap falling on the chest. Below it, is a waist band and a long beaded yajnopavita across the left shoulder. Other ornaments include bangles and anklets. On the right side is a coiled serpent below which is a lean, seated male to the left. On the left side is lean woman standing and begging for nectar, with her palm opened at the mouth. |
