| Description / विवरण | A miniature temple model with a niche depicting Siva as Uma sahita Alingana Chandrasekhara murti. This shows the god Siva and his consort Uma seated on the same pitha pedestal . Here Siva is seated in maharaja lila aspect with the right leg hanging free and the foot resting on the pitha, where as the left leg is bent inward. He wears a kirita makuta, which is tall with a conical top. Head is inclined rightwards. He has four hands. The right rear hand is bent and held high up in to the air, while the left hand placed on the shoulder of his consort and touches the breast. He wears a tight necklace and katibandha. He wears a loin cloth with a girdle. To his left is the consort Uma seated by the side of the lap of the god Siva. Her face is turned rightward, while the torso faces left. She also wears a jata makuta. Her right leg hangs down freely while the left leg is lifted up and kept on the pedestal. She has two arms the right resting on the lap of the lord Siva, while the left one is kept on the knee. Like Siva, she also wears a lone necklace. Both the images are slim in proportion with meager ornamentation. |
