| Description / विवरण | This sirapatti consists of an arched, central part which is flanked on either side by replicas of two miniature shrines. The middle part of the arch is also provided with a little bigger replica of a shrine than the two corner ones. The extreme right shows an image of four armed Brahma seated in padmasana, while the extreme left shows figure of our armed Vishnu in dhyanasana. The image of Siva within the central shrine is four handed and is seated in ardha paryankasana. In his upper right hand, he is most probably holding a sarpa, while the lower hand displays abhaya. His upper left hand carries a trishula and by his lower left hand is carrying a ghatta. The central image of Siva, two more divinities are seen carved. Right of siva and his shrine in a separate kalkiavatara or Revanta. However, their identities cannot be taken as confirmed. |
