| Description / विवरण | The sculpture of Revanta is depicted riding on horse back. In his right hand the deity is holding a drinking cup while with his left arm he is holding the reins of the horse. The image is decorated with well carved necklace, earrings, wrist bands and attractive hair ornamentation. Image of horse is also decorated by beautifully embroided saddle cloth. On the front is a male figures playing flute probably with a figure of dog besides him and on the side is a figure playing dholak. At the back is a figure carrying some object on the his shoulder. The entire sculpture either represents the scene of royal retinue or the Puranic story which refers to the fight of Revanta on Surya's eighth horse. |
