| Description / विवरण | The eight armed image of Mahishasuramardini is illustrated in the action of killing the demon Mahisasura. She has placed firmly her right leg on the back of a buffalo. The human form of the demon is springing up from the body of buffalo whose head has been severed by the goddess. The demon is resisting against the attacks of Devi and she has pressed the demon with one of her left hands and piercing the trident into the chest of the demon. Simha the mount of Devi, is also darting upon the enemy from the back. With remaining right hands the goddess holds her objects like the trisula trident , chakra and khadga sword while in three of her left hands the ghantamala, dhala Shield bow and arrow are held but with one hand she is pushing back the demon. The goddess is well ornamented wearing the katimekhala, kativastra and valaya. She has a beautiful coiffure. |
